It's taken a while many rubbers many ripped up pages just something a little different from me PS I'm no artist π
My first attempt at drawing with pen... - Lung Conditions C...
My first attempt at drawing with pencils for a few years ... Its the front elevation of Beaulieu palace π
itβs excellent, well done. Hope you enjoyed drawing as much as you do photography, the passion for both shines thru. Take care π¦x
it seems you have many talents! π
Wow! Thatβs amazing. Youβre very talented, well done. Xx ππ₯°ππ€©
Thanks Carol I tried it but not enjoying it I just found it frustrating I think it was the sitting still that got me ... When i tried to get up my legs πππ
Wow how amazing, you must have a lot of patience for the fine details. Excellent drawing βοΈ Bb9β€οΈ
That really is very good Bb, even though you don't think so. However, if you don't really enjoy it - you find it frustrating and your joints ache with sitting still, then don't feel you have to. Just because you can, it doesn't matter, do what you're comfortable with and what makes you happy. We love to see your photos of the beautiful area around you β€οΈ and are grateful that you share them ππ
Take care.

Wow, thatβs excellent. You certainly have an artistic talent in both drawing and photography.
I think that is really good, well done Blackbird
Thatβs very good indeed, Bb. You clearly have an eye for detail but it must have taken you ages! No wonder you were stiff afterwards! I like doing photorealistic drawings too, of animals in my case. I think the fact that weβre willing to put pencil to paper and create an image makes us artists. Besides, your artistry also shines through in your beautiful photographs x
looks pretty damn good to me. Donβt put yourself down.
Please donβt give up. Youβve tackled a complicated drawing and done it justice. Have a break and find something less challenging. Best wishes to you both.,
Looking good BB but I think with all hobbies we have to enjoy it. Did you do this at a class. Many years ago I used to enjoy drawing and painting but wasn't very good at it and haven't done anything for years, don't seem to have the urge anymore think there is too much to do I the home x
That's very impressive π. Got such a lot of detail in it as well. Brian
Hi that's a great job,I went into the house last year and you have captured the house great
Is this really your first go?! Very well done indeed. It can be such a relaxing hobby and wonderful as it's completely absorbing. Have just started U3A Beginners' Drawing class on zoom and am learning so much. You must continue - you have a real gift. xx
It's my first go at the Palace drawing I tried and ripped up many before just pulling myself together π
I get quite frustrated with drawings which are much less detailed and time-consuming than yours! Sometimes, it does help to do a bit, leave it a while and go back when I'm in the mood. Then of course, you can't really stay for many hours in front of the Palace! Or maybe just aim at drawing a section of such a large drawing rather than the whole thing? But this is really impressive. We use 2B pencils for everything plus drawing pens if we wish. But please don't stop drawing; you're very gifted! xxπ·π·
You've got an excellent eye for detail which may have caused some of your frustration. I find it helpful to draw a feint grid on the paper and also do the same to a photocopy of what I'm drawing. The lines can be easily erased at the end as long as they're done lightly with a soft pencil. It helps me to get all the important bits in the right location.
Someone at my art group does a lot of 'full frontals' like yours. She sells a lot of her work. She's not afraid of straight lines and uses a ruler a lot. She enhances the pics using a black marker. They are incredibly effective and yours reminds me of the work she does.
Please don't give up. It's a really good drawing and you will learn a bit more with every new attempt.
A favourite saying in our group is, 'It's only a bit of paper!' π€£

Thatβs so good. Maybe you could try something a bit simpler next timeβ¦β¦.. π€£π€£π€£. Nothing like going in at the deep end.
Well that certainly was a stiff task. Had u ever drawn before? Whatever made you attempt it? But well achieved and I do like the brickwork!
That's amazing π
Well done @Blackbird9 I think it looks really, satisfyingly great. Iβve tried drawing a country stone wall with pencils before and can see how painstaking youβve had to be with this. Well done.
For you're first attempt with pencils and sounds like many attempts I can definitely assure you that picture is exceptional looks great I'm pleased you have shared with us
wow !! That is amazing Blackbird, you definitely have a talent. Thanku for sharing. π xx
looks good to me BB9, very good in fact . Not easy to produce drawings I think thats a brilliant attempt . Its always something to do when you can't get out.
Well done, youβve done a remarkable drawing. Considering this is your first piece of work , you are really good.
Take care
Wendy xx
That's really good BB! I can imagine you not enjoying being still for so long, photography is a bit quicker π xx
Hello Blackbird, Well done and so accurate. Can imagine how painstaking this was for you. π€
This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I am very bad at any type of artwork so very much enjoyed. Excellent. xx
Really good eye you have for detail and the patience to hone it! I drew and painted years ago, just was never happy with the results. I can empathize with your hips and knees being still for extended periods of time. When I've sat too long, I get up and walk like a 2 year old with a present in her diaper!π
Wow! Surely you mean you werenβt an artist until you drew that. Itβs brilliant. Clever girl. Xx
Now why would you give drawing up, this is excellent for a first attempt! You have a talent that many would kill for...patience is a virtue they say...
