At the risk of seeming dense can anyone explain how the DWP calculate the weekly amount awarded into the monthly payment.
My friend was awarded £95 per week last year. By my calculation this should equate to £411.66 per month - £95 x 52 ÷ 12 = £411.66. However she has been paid only £380 per month which is £95 x 4.
Has everyone’s payment been calculated this way and if so do you know what formula is used?

Hi Yoga 2011 some of us get our pensions weekly due to your circumstances when you first received it. Did not realise it was paid every four weeks thought it was calander month for pension
Either at the standard rate or enhanced rate. Both rates have been increased.
I recall reading somewhere that the new amounts from April increase are paid either:
a)1 week at new rate, 3 at old rate,
b)2 at new rate, 2 at old rate,
c)3 at new rate, 1 at old rate or
d)4 at new rate….
depending on your NI numbers as that determines what day of the week you get payment.
Hope this helps as some people have been paid more than others on the same award during April and first week of May but the following months (like for like) awards should be the same amount.
Hi its paid in 2 parts one payment for Daily living and one for mobility added together forms the amount that you get depending on your status every 4 weeks
