My husband was awarded pip until October next year but has received a review letter and form which we completed and sent off nearly 5 weeks ago. We have heard nothing from PIP but I sent the form special next day delivery and it has been delivered and signed for. Any idea how long we will have to wait to hear. Also does anyone know if this is because he is 70 in February next year?

PIP review 15 months early
They do take a long time to respond. You can phone them on behalf of your husband. However, I’m not sure how PIP works when you are at retirement age.
Thanks cornflake57. We have had DLA for years and transferred onto PIP about 18 months ago. It all seems strange as we were e xpecting the review next year. They have also changed the form from tick box to more like the original application for PIP. All seems very strange but causing a lot of anxiety. Thanks once again for your response. Kath
littlepom did a post on this two days ago.
Hi I receive a review letter every year even if my award has not run out (I was under transplant assessment therefore a transplant would be a change in condition), if nothing has changed you don’t always get a letter back from them, when I phoned and queried this in the past I was told my claim would just carry on as normal. Try not to worry but if you are give PIP a ring.
