Hi, Veronica. Well done for calling for help! Good luck for the steroids to help you! Did the paramedic call your GP for the prescription, or was it yourself?

it is very frightening when chest becomes tight. It helps if you can stay calm and breathe slowly and as deep as possible, but i know that’s very difficult. Prednisolone help me and i’m always glad i have a rescue pack. They work quite quickly.

I hope you are feeling bit better now. See your GP if you need to.

My Dr's will never prescribe me rescue I've asked diff Dr's at surgery each say not needed 🤔

That’s unusual . If you have a lung disease i assumed you would have a rescue pack of prednisolone in case of flare ups.

Make an official complaint. You may have to really shout about this. Your care plan should include a rescue pack at home and details as to how and when to use it Do not take no for an answer

Glad you got help, and I hope the neb helped. I think you should get in touch with the doctor in a few days if you are no better. Explain you had to call an ambulance and that you don't want to have to do that again. Hopefully that should get you an appointment?

Feel better xx

I’d make an appointment with your asthma nurse now. She or he might want you to wait six weeks after having the steroids before they check you but I’d make sure you’re being controlled on your meds.
