Hi, I have a very dry mouth each morning, it is miserable .... Last time I saw the Dr, a trainee GP. He just changed the subject........!

So no help there .

I do find Victory V's throat lozenges help.

half a sweet is enough to moisten my mouth.

Followed by many cups of tea .

Jo..... 😃

Several years ago someone here recommended Xylimelts, which I bought for my mum who gets a horribly dry mouth caused by other medications. The instructions say to use one or two but she often uses just a half. The first time, she used two and she said it was like a waterfall in her mouth ! They really work. You just put one in your mouth between the teeth and gum and it slowly dissolves.

I have the same problem every morning. I find a drink of water kept by the bed helps a little.

I have a really dry mouth at night. I wake every couple of hours every night and have a sip of water (then a wee 🙄) then another sip of water. The dry mouth spray and the melts that others have mentioned really helped me but something in them seems to heighten my anxiety so stopped taking them but hopefully they will help you 😊🤞Good luck 😊xxxx

Hi, I have a really dry mouth, from inhaler and I take Amitriptyline for my Fibromyalgia, so double whammy. I always have a glass of water nearby and take a bottle of water with me if I go out. My hygienist suggested I suck sugar free sweets or chew sugar free gum, both work fine, but I do hate to chew all the time!
