I've had voice problems for a few years now - reflux is the cause of it for me, apparently.

I've been advised to take Gaviscon Advance after meals and before bed which has helped. But also, I came accross a local singing teacher who is fab and is helping me with breathing techniques. I really enjoy my half hour a week with her and am now able to sing again, albeit in a lower register than I used to.

I lost my voice completely for a few days, but the treatment and singing I've described has helped no end.

I went to my first singing lesson since having COVID a few weeks ago and my voice was not as good as before, but with regular practice, I know I can get it back.

I'm pleased that the Montelukast has worked for you. However, if your voice goes squeaky again, it might be worth thinking about whether you might suffer with reflux. A lot of us do.
