It has been really hot today hasn't it?

I have had a great day out at Cardiff Bay today at the 999 open day which I really enjoyed especially watching the demonstrations from the fire brigade!

Last week it was a Sunday and it was a nice day which I decided to make the most of and went out for a walk and for Sunday lunch at one of the local pubs and I had seen a neighbour outside who was still in her dressing gown and it was 12noon and I had said how I felt that the day was too nice to waste so had decided to go out and how my mission in life is to make the most of what gets offered and I would rather regret having gone and done things wishing I hadn't done them than wish I had when they were there wondering what might have been!

Very hot today but we went to a food fayre which was very good. Nice to be home, watching tv and tucking into a tub of Celebrations. Xxx🤗

Sorry to hear this Carole, does it settle down afterwards. I suppose the travel to and fro doesn't help much. Thinking of you x

Yes it does settle but I dread the journey. Thank you for thinking of me and hope you’re as well as you can be. Xxx🩷😘

Have you asked your nurses if imodium is OK for you to take as they are very good at stopping tummy upsets!

I can’t really take that but do take an anti-spasmodic. I need to have an empty bowel for the RT so that’s ok but it’s painful.

Oh Adenough, a toffee crisp! I haven’t had one of those in years, used to love them as a child😀

My cats all react so differently in this heat. The semi-feral is out all day and night and can be spotted lying along the branches of the wisteria like a mini leopard. My eldest cat is flaked out in front of the fan and the youngest one spends her day in her den buried under a teddy fleece 🙀 She emerges for meals looking around at the rest of us sprawled out in the heat in some surprise, before disappearing back into her den.. She did mention that it seemed to be warming up a little😀

Enjoy the tennis!

Baby has been driving us mad with her bad tempered meows over the heat!

I like your attitude to life. My indulgence at this time of the year is nectarines, the juicier and messier the better. xxx

I have a couple of cool mats for my dogs. When it was really hot last year I covered them with a damp towel.

🙋‍♀️You are so right we have to stay positive, I must admit I find it very hard but it's a great outlook to have. Tell myself that letting things get me down has no benefits at all. Reading everyones positive posts really helps. 🙂
