Pseudomonas has raised its ugly head. What is the most effective method of treating it now?

Firstly don't panic! When I had it 15 years ago my GP quickly prescribed two weeks of Ciproloxacin. He said to hit it hard as soon as possible. It's never been back as far as I know. Basically, you need medical advice and treatment. Good luck.

Hi i have it permentaly enbeded in my lower lungs along with bronchesties am on long term antibodis inhaler via neb colmyic and take cipro when i can feel it getting bad But yeah the cipro dies the jib and the long term meds keep in mostly in controll

You should have at least 14 days of ciproflaxin. For me my pseudomonas became resistant to cipro so I had 2 weeks of iv antibiotics followed by nebulised colomycin twice daily. I’m still on that five years later but I’m immunocompromised. Good luck I hope you get your numbers down quickly.

When I had Pseudomonas I was treated with Piperacillin in very high doses, I had to have it by iv infusion for 2 weeks. In fact, I'm on my 10th day of treatment again because of yet another serious infection.

Hi Shrimpy I have it at the moment spent nine days in hospital on antibiotics, now home with an I’ve line for another 8 days after having picc line inserted nurse in daily getting better daily hope you feel better son
