Something crossed my mind this morning ,I've been using spiriva and fosyair for a number of years now ,I have change recently to spiriva respite ,am I correct in inhaling spirva first then inhailing fostair after the spiriva, nobody as ever told me which one to inhail first ,how do others take them silly question I surpose ,just making sure I'm using them correctly

spiriva opens the airways to allow the fostair to work I believe

you should wait a little bit between inhalers as well so the first one has some time to open the airways so the other one can get deeper into your lungs.

Hello Alice, Yes I agree with all the posts - I use Spiriva Respimat first ,then wait and continue with my Symbicort dose.

Hi Alice, Not something I have noticed and if you are taking a slow continuous ( 5 second) breath in, the whole dose should be taken into your lungs. If you are noticing a "leak", I would certainly discus it with your respiratory nurse or pharmacist . Having said that, I sometimes think that this happens with my Symbicort when used with a spacer device. If this happens, I request another spacer in case the rubber seal where the Symbicort cartridge is inserted is getting a bit loose. Keep well x
