Sat here tonight feeling so sad after the news of Carole's passing. Been reading through our Chats on here going back 3+ years. I used to sign off as the MOB (Mad Old Bat) & she'd respond with BOF (Boring Old Fart) & we'd try to find some humour in the day but she would be such a huge support during those times my depression was acute. I hope I showed the same when she struggled. I hope in some way her husband Geoff gets to see how much she was loved by this group. I called her my Lung Buddy and loved her very much.
So breathe easy now Carole and rest from the struggles you bravely fought

It fills my heart with joy to know that yourself and Carole were such good friends who supported each other in times of need. This forum is so good at that. Carole was a lovely lady and Iβm missing her already.
It's hard to fill the void when someone leaves us. It really hurts for a long time. I used to read through text messages of my friend who died three years ago. She passed away from lung disease since she was denied a lung transplant. I also felt bad that I had the chance and she didn't. I realise now though, if there is love between two people, you never really lose them because they become imprinted in our memory. I am truly sorry for your loss Shouty. πΉ
This is a lovely tribute to Carole and am sure she would be touched by your friendship, she was a lovely lady and will be greatly missed. Perhaps her husband could log on and see the messages or maybe you could forward the post to him. I felt the same when Skischool aka Mike passed and read through our messages which was a comfort. This is a lovely site with a lot of caring people x
