Good morning
Good to know you still keep in touch with friends/colleagues from work and feel supported. Take care xxx
I'm sorry to hear about your job loss Lindon, I know it meant a lot to you. I am glad though that your former colleagues and friends are keeping in touch and I hope they will keep doing so. Bets wishes, Carole x
U will miss them.can u pop in occasionally x
It is incredibly sad when you leave a job for years due to health or just plain retirement.
But chin up, As one door closes, Another opens.
❤️
Now that spring is almost here you will hopefully be able to get out and about more which really helps. It must be hard for you giving up a job you really loved. When I retired I was so ready I was almost running from the building and have never regretted leaving. I have lots of things to do that I enjoy and places I like visiting, although my hip is keeping me housebound at the moment. Try to find things you like doing and get out and about meeting people. You can always pop into your last job and catch up with people. I wish you well and hope your health has improved x
I was in a similar boat 18 years ago when the NHS finished me after a severe asthma attack at work.28 years of nursing and the support network of colleagues gone overnight. It does take some adjustment Lindon as what was your daily routine changes.
I have filled my days with hobbies I am physically able to do-have developed a wide circle of friends and love my life.
Very best of luck for this new stage of life it's full of possibilities!
Best wishes for an interest filled and happy retirement.
Maybe you could do a visit or meet up with some ex colleagues every so often. Take care. X
Hello Lindon, Your expression “ next adventure” is such a positive attitude and will support you whilst you adjust and build a new life. You are not defined by your work and it took me a while to accept this when I retired. Lots of good advice and now time for you. Wishing you success and happiness. 🤗 x
