I have asthma Whitehouse and went through a similar patch of needed several courses of prednisone. It was partially solved by increasing the strength of my preventer to Fostair 200/6. This stopped the attacks but my peak flows still dropped a certain times of year and I was needing to take a lot of salbutomol (on drs advice) to get through. The hospital respiratory clinic added in a Fostair 100/6 to use in addition to the 200/6 when my peak flows start to drop. So far, this has worked very well for me.
