Hi is anyone using the revitive Aerosure for strengthening the lungs? Anyone's experience with this device would be Grateley appreciated especially if its helping greatly with breathlessness. Thanks for replies in advance.

Hi Jake,Aerosure has been discussed a few times om here. If you type Aerosure in the search box on the right it will take you to all the previous posts. x

Morning I bought and used this device but only for a few days as I was suddenly rushed into hospital due to a pneumothorax. When I came back home and read the leaflet before using the device again it said if ever suffered a pneumothorax not to use device so it has sat in the box ever since. Best wishes Ruth

Hi SandraThanks for replying, I am thinking of buying one of these but at £130 it's a lot of money... What I want to know is.... Is there a difference to your breathlessness after using it.?

Your GP will prescribe an AeroBika or Acapella if he thinks one or other is suitable. My AeroBika is brilliant for bringing up sputum, but I think breathing exercises and Pilates help more with my breathing. Other ladies on this site recommend singing and harmonica playing as other ways of improving one's breathing.

Hi Alberta56Thank you so much for your reply, I did enquire about these devices with my GP, but he seems to have no clue what I'm talking about. Anyway I'm not suffering from sputum on my chest, it's breathlessness. So Thankyou for your tips on the breathing exercises and other things. 😊

Sorry your GP seems to know nothing about respiratory devices. I'm afraid a lot of GPs aren't well up on lung problems. I'd save your money on an Aerosure and possibly invest it in a few trips to the gym, or a harmonica.

I bought an Aerosure some time ago. It usually stays in the box, but it is helpful when I have a chesty cough.
