Spacebar not working

This is for @Albert1997 cofdrop-UK Hidden Reading4everyone Morrison10 and anyone else affected - have you heard anymore from HU about what they’re doing to fix this problem? As you know, some of us complained on your behalf & got a reply from Brett to confirm there was a problem, they were trying to fix it & would get back to us. I’ve heard nothing and I see you’re all still using full stops or apostrophes 😕

Thank you for your interest - wahooo - I'm back to working space bar function.

It has just corrected itself - I can now have more to say - as like a lot of members - I have been passed from pillar to post between my 'non existent' local surgery - and hospital 'nursing staff.

During my last check up at hospital months ago - my specialist wanted me to have a 24 hour BP monitor and wrote a letter to my GP to provide same.

Despite repeated weekly phone calls to surgery - they say it is 'out' 'broken' 'lost' until finally I was told to tell specialist to provide one as they requested it.

However, despite numerous phone calls I'm unable to speak to anyone at the hospital - obviously the 'nurse' I usually speak to is on strike - I have therefor written a letter to my consultant (who I can't reach neither)to ask if he can ring me with advice what to do.

Not holding out much hope - but naturally worried that my next exacerbation could be serious enough for an ambulance to take me to hospital 'sparked out cold' as happened on three occasions leading up to my consultants GP request - but yes you've guessed paramedics are on strike.

Up till now I have got through by severe use of medication and my NIV machine - and hope at 86 years old my wife can get me to her car and somehow lie me down on the back seat....?!?!

Here's hoping and fingers crossed.

That’s dreadful treatment! Such a worry for you & your poor wife. Is there a neighbour who’d help out in a real emergency? I agree with Patk1 , phone the consultant’s secretary, or better still email if you can find an address. It might take some while for your letter to land on his desk & for him to actually read it. When I had a 24hr monitor, the hospital arranged it. And when the Brompton in London asked my GP to arrange an echocardiogram at the local hospital, the receptionist said the Brompton would have to do it! There seems to be some hostility between hospitals and surgeries atm, with we patients caught in the middle. I can’t get hold of a GP at all, there’s always a massive queue just to get into the queue for an appointment! I’ve stopped trying, which I suspect suits them just fine. Where I live there’s only one surgery, and really they’re not providing a healthcare service at all. No wonder people end up at A&E, what else can we do? I feel for you, I really do

Thanks for checking with us , mine has improved about 550% (That's fifty % & what happens when I type in numbers so I've taken to writing the whole word instead). If I use spell check now thethen space bar the word comes up twice. Odd capitals come up as well. My brain is so used to working around like not using spell check as well that it that it carries over to other writing elsewhere like emails. Odd that using my space bar is normally okay, perhaps it's to do with using a SamsuSamsung android tablet 🤔

Hmm, your problem is different from the others, I wonder what’s going on there! I don’t like spellcheck because it changes my words eg organise to organize (which I know is also correct but I prefer the original) but obviously you should be able to use it. Does Brett say he’s going to fix it?

Hi. Eleanordigby. I contacted Brett and he said he would fix it. Lo and behold as I write in reply to you it seems the space bar is now fixed. Thank you everyone and thank you Brett. Best wishes Marlybee.

The last reply I had from Brett was 31 January saying the engineers were working on it and he would get back to members when he had something. I have forwarded my original e mail everytime I have seen another member with the same problem adding on their name x
