Not raining.

January 1st and this is the first morning for over 10 days that I have not drawn the curtains to rain. The River Kent outside my window is very high and a muddy brown. Hopefully, I might be able to get out and about again if the dry weather remains. A Happy New Year to all those I feel I know through this forum. x

All the best, and Thames Water has removed the hosepipe ban! My friend in Scotland is getting the high winds from the snow bomb cyclone that hit the USA, but luckily not the extreme cold.

Happy New Year to you too. I hope the river will stay away from your door. xxx

It will, I'm (unfortunately) on the 2nd and 3rd floors. My neighbours got it with Desmond though. x

Your post brought back many happy memories. I spent many happy years walking along the banks of the Kent on my way to school, and paddling in it in the summer with my school friends.
