Feeling utterly raf, I developed a cough a couple of days ago with pain in the centre of my chest, every time I cough I feel as my chest is exploding the pain leaves me weak and struggling for breath.
I couldn't do anything at first because I was at my sisters for xmas, but managed to contact and speak to my doctor this morning, she said after listening to my breathing and a coughing fit whilst talking to her that I have a chest infection and has prescibed antibiotics and a rescue pack of steriods in case my breathing gets worse.
My problem now is that I feel too weak to be able to pick them up ( it is a bus ride away) I also have an ibs flare up, twice today already haven't managed to get to the loo in time.
Hopefully can find a way of getting them delivered

Some pharmacies deliver. Mine does. Check if yours does. If it doesn’t then I guess you will have to find someone to pick prescription for you….. What I would say is if your doesn’t deliver then once you are feeling better then it is worth finding a local pharmacy who will deliver to you when necessary.
Hopefully your pharmacy will deliver. Ring them and tell them you’re too unwell to collect your prescription. We’re very lucky as our pharmacy delivers both our medications. Feel better soon. Xxx
Like others have said my chemist delivers and also has the robot pick up service. If it has it means someone could pick it up even if the chemist is closed.I am sure if you phone the chemist they could arrange a way that you could get your medication. Wishing you a speedy recovery
good morning to you yes i have felt like that over xmas i feel there no help out there now since lockdown i still were a mask if i do go anywhere i dont feel safe / not much you can do about it i am still waiting for my rescure pack from my doctors over two years since i ad the last one i feel for people as they get older your in your 70s i am 59 thids is getting bad well all the best 2023 ghoust rider
Like the other replies my suggestion is similar. If you can't get prescription contact your surgery or usual chemist and explain you are too ill to travel on public transport and need the prescription delivered one of them should be able to help this time , then you can change to home delivery in future there are lots of chemist who deliver now. Even people working have them delivered.
