I didn’t have to have surgery. It helps clear the lungs and thus reduces the number of infections. If you are under a hospital consultant ask them to prescribe and get them to tell GP it’s a repeat prescription. Otherwise get a referral to a specialist.

Most of us with COPD are taking Carbosisteine otherwise known as Mucodyne. I have taken it for over 10yrs. You dont have to have a Consultant to prescribe it your GP can do this. xxSheila Merry Xmas 🎅👍
