afree pneumonia in august my progress has been slow. I expected this. I've had my flu and covid jabs so I have some level of protection.the problem is I have been picking up one chest infection after another. Does anyone else get constant infections.

yeah me Ive got one after a month of completing Iv plus oral antibiotics try strengthening your immune system and less exposure to dry air as it tends to trigger those 🦠

Maybe you should visit a pulmonologist. I also constantly got infection but after that I was tested mu doc ordered a CT scan and I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis. Wish you best.

You could ask your doctor if it's appropriate for you to be prescribed Azithromycin to take three times a week. Many with bronch and/or copd take this. I do and Ive hardly had any chest infections since I started it.

I take supplements to boost my immune system. Turmeric , Spirulina,, Chlorella and Baobab. I get them from Organic Burst as no additives or pesticides etc .all pure .Sheila .

morning, many of us on this page feel your pain,i have had only one month this year without antibiotics.Have you had a chest xray ? or sent sputum tests in? You may also be run down and your immunity low. Also this was my first year i had over 65yr flu jab and felt rough for a few days .Make an appointment face to face with gp and take a sputum specimen with you .good luck

Hi this is just a thought from my own experience. I was hospitalised with Pneumonia a few years ago. 2 weeks after discharge I was worse & went back to A & E they diagnosed a further chest infection but had no beds so sent home with oral antibiotics. 6 weeks later I was asked to go for a follow up chest X Ray which showed I still had Pneumonia. I’m wondering if yours could be lingering like mine causing your infections. Just a thought.

could be. I still feel weak after the pneumonia. But my partner is ill with a virus now. lucky he has no chest problems. I’m waiting for the doctor to call back this morning. I think it’s my bad luck with all the covid around.Or like you said i might still have pneumonia. thanks

I would ask about a follow up x Ray as you still have symptoms. I didn’t have any symptoms so was surprised 🤷🏻‍♀️

It could be that the ab's are not really killing off the infection properly and it starts up again, or the ab's are not right for the infection you have. Or it could just be that after having pneumonia you are run down. Talk to your doctor about it. I am on Methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis and my immunity is low so i try to keep healthy by having a good diet, plenty of fresh fruit and veg.. I also take vit d everyday. After my last bout my daughter sent me some little bottles of Ginseng and Royal jelly and they have really boosted me. You could also try a really good allround vitamin and mineral supplement. Hope you start to feel better soon x

I am run down. I need some vitamins and more fruit and veg. It was difficult to eat after the pneumonia because i had so much nausea and no appetite. thankyou
