So sorry to hear about your difficulties. You have a lot of problems and you need someone who can see the whole picture. You have just been shunted from one hospital to another. I wonder if you would get anywhere by contacting the consultants secretaries. They are often very helpful.
im very disappointed for u Jaybird.if yr in NW there is bronchiectasis specialists in Leeds.I'm also wondering if a letter frm gp to wythenshawe explaining yr urgent need to see them could help.nothing to lose.
good luck,but dont delay x
I can't understand why and by whom you were referred back to Chester. Could it be that you have just received an appt letter from Chester who do not know that you have been going to Wythenshaw? Sometimes computers throw up these things. Do you know which consultant you were seeing at Wythenshaw? I would give their secretary a ring and ask to be reassured that you are still with them and when your next appointment is due. If the worst happens and for some reason you have been bumped back to Chester go to see your GP and INSIST that Chester is not up to it and that you want to continue to go to Wythenshaw. Good luck. Fight the good fight.
l agree with Littlepom. You have the right to attend the hospital of your choice though there may be a valid reason if a scheduled appt has been transferred, ranging from holiday to illness.
Hope you get this sorted, Jaybird and can be seen at Wythenshaw. Littlepom's advice will hopefully resolve the problem, soon. Good luck with it all xxx
