I have a feeling that in my pedantic youth I read that Queen Victoria encouraged the introduction of Arab blood into New Forest ponies 'to improve the stock'. Her idea, not mine. I don't know what the Arabs thought of it.

You can drive round the forest they are all over it .. which part are you coming to if you look up hotels say for maybe Lyndhurst as that's more or less in the centre with a lot of main travel points 💙
