For the those of you who suffered during the the hottest day on record spare a thought for my granddaughter- in - law who spent the whole day in labour and produced this beautiful little girl, our second great grandchild, first great granddaughter - Ava Mae - at 3 minutes past midnight 🥰.

It was the strangest coincidence Sassy When she first became pregnant I said I loved the name Ava and my grandson was amazed because it was exactly the name he wanted 😃

I am too old to have babies now, but when I see little ones I think I wouldn't mind one more. And then the reality snaps in so I shall be content to wait for my grandchildren. 😂

You don’t realise how fantastic it is to have grandchildren until you have them Cas . I didn’t think I was bothered about grandchildren and then Tyler , Ava’s daddy , came along 25 years ago and he became our world . Four more followed and now Tyler and his lovely partner Deena , who we love as our own grandchild , have given us another boy and girl 😃 we do feel truly blessed xx

Thanks Carole, I haven’t seen her yet , although I have had photos of her just after birth , being weighed, etc, etc, etc, They were home within hours but I thought I’d let them have some rest and family time before visiting . There will definitely be plenty cuddles when when I go over this weekend 🥰😊 xx
My great niece was 1 year old on Wednesday, time flies. My sister and her husband are flying out to Melbourne next week to meet her for the first time.
Omg they must be so excited! You’ll be getting plenty photos no doubt 😊 we’ve been lucky , our daughter has always lived within walking distance and her children range in age from 25 to 5 so ( up until the pandemic 🙄) there’s never been a week when there hasn’t been grandchildren in our house - quite common for them to call in for a drink or food and go home days later 😂 xx

Thank you , it was indeed very warm , to say the least , when she came into the world , now it’s pretty cool and raining , she’s had an early introduction to the weather in NW Uk 😂
When my granddaughter was born, similar weather and difficult to keep cool, she was 19 this week. When her brother was born, January, nobody was able to visit as we had 18" of snow!! Doesn`t appear to have done either of them any harm, hot or cold.
Similar to me , my eldest , a boy was born on the shortest day of the year and my daughter three and a half years later on the longest ! 18” of snow is an awful lot ! 🥶😳

Thank you Moy. I’m not sure about the air conditioning but they were in a lovely room with reclining bedside chair for dad and their own mini kitchen with kettle etc 😃 having said that she was in the local hospital for 24 hours before being told they didn’t have the staff to deal with her and she was transported to one just outside the area where she gave birth the following day . In my day we didn’t have reclining chairs and kettles , we didn’t even have the husband beside us 😂 but we did have plenty staff , sad situation now , but luckily for us had a very happy ending 😊

It was indeed but her grandma ( my daughter ) came over to our house to see her for the first time so I didn’t get as much cuddle time as I would’ve liked 😠😂 xx

The daughter got more than her fair share though ! 😡 I was dragged into the garden by a five year old grandson and four year old great grandson to play hide and seek and make tunnels for the toy cars out of plastic plant pots in our “secret den” !! I did enjoy it though ….time I grew up 🤣😂

I’m donkey’s years behind! My grandchildren are 12, 7 and5 so it’ll be a long time (or should be!) before I’m a great grandmother. Late breeders here!
