Im 28 yrs and have fev1 76% and 79% (post bronchodilator) ; fvc 80% and 81% ( post bronchodilator) and fev1/fvc 80%. Do I have COPD? Most websites I have come across say that, to confirm COPD, fev1/fvc should be less than 70 % and fev1 reading is used to find the severity.

I believe those readings indicate your stage as "Mild". Take the advice of those, above, have indicated. You are fortunate, so far..
If this is mild COPD you can do a lot to slow it down I mean keep away from smoking or anyone who does and plenty of exercise and get your flu jab. I have level 4 COPD i'm 52 its very difficult but you will always get loads of support off this site good luck and welcome
I have a FEV1 of 81% (2013) and in (2012) it was 79%. I stopped smoking in 2011 once I was diagnosed with Boullus Emphysema.
You really need to see your Doctor, I had a CT Scan then a chest x ray then the Sprimority tests.
That's really the only way to detail Emphysema/Lung Disease.
Most of all stay off the fags and stay away from second hand smoking.
Get in contact with BLF to get a COPD pack and start exercising those lungs.

He said I have mild COPD, which is partially reversible if I quit smoking.
I have had COPD for a long time, with a Fixed air way that is the medication makes little dfference to my ability to get air in and out of my lungs. the lungs them selves wok fairly ok with only a small amount of emphasemia. so my oxygen stats stay around 95. Just over a year ago I had 43% lung function but now it is down to around 30% at the end of the day it is only adiagnosis it is how you feel that counts. a lot ofthe time it is your ability to handle the mental aspects of the condition that have the greatest affect on how you feel and what you can do so do as the doc says eat healthily, drink moderatly get some excersise dont smoke but most of all live your life to the full!
Just a tip - when you have your annual spirometry tests ask the doctor or nurse for a printout of the results.
I have my results for the last 5 years, and when I applied for a blue badge attached copies of all 5.
In less than a week I had my blue badge.
The printouts also let you compare year on year how you are doing.
Good luck
