What a beautiful photo. Do you know what the flowers are? They look so exotic and delicate.
Thanks lovley... its a wild forest flower unsure of name but they spring up around this time and quickly get eaten by livestock ππ
We don't get flowers like that in East Anglian woods. The soil must be too alkaline. Our speciality is the rare oxlip, a relation of the primrose and cowslip. Unfortunately all these plants interbreed like mad, so you get false oxlips popping up, even in my garden. They're very pretty, but I'd love to get to the New Forest before the livestock have eaten all your blossoms. xxxx
I was going to ask the same question Alberta56 as I have never seen this flower before, it really is lovely, must try looking it up x
Think they be a wild violet x
If you find out let me know it's like the yellow flowers on the gorse the most prickly bushes create these little yellow flowers looks like a buttercup shape but the ponies munch them down as quick as they appear π
I dont have to say how lovely that photo is, but I will!
You see beauty everywhere. Xx
I will never forget that photo. It is so unusual. The lighting is remarkable and it's one of my favourites. Well captured.
Another fab shot BB and will investigate to see if I can find a name for this lovely wild flower x
The word 'Hope' was the first to come to mind. Thank you for another beautiful photo.
