Ah bless you my friend. It's nice to know I have been thought of! I am fine but just struggling with my health and lack of help a bit so am somewhat discouraged and a bit down.

Dad would ask Mum what she would like for Xmas, she would say she did not know, nothing too expensive. He would get her something useful for the home, she would flip her lid, and then in about Feb. take him to her favourite jewellers, he could not get her to do this before Xmas.

In the early years of our marriage, I dreamed of receiving something feminine from my husband for Christmas, but nothing was forthcoming until I opened up a pair of sexy panties one year!

'At last!' I thought, he sees me as more than a mother and housewife. When the kids were out of the way, I threw my arms around him, gave him a great big kiss and thanked them for them. 'Oh,' he said nonchalantly, 'It's ok. There's a bloke at work who does a market stall on Saturdays and he brought a load in to work 'cos he'd got them left over!'

My bubble well and truly burst and it took my dearly beloved a very long time to recover from the fall out!
