Let all think of 3 things which made us happy this week. 3 positive things (or can be as many or as few as you like)
I will start off.
1) I made a new friend dog walking this week. We were gassing for 2 hours and we are meeting up again Saturday for more doggie walking.
2) Me and a friend went to a local writer's group last Thursday. We both loved it and we are going again next week!
3) Been desperately searching for pair white cut offs. Every shop I went to had sold out! Popped into local charity shop and they had one pair in - in my size. Result - and a lot cheaper too!
Over to you all.

Oh, Bev, even in the negative, there's usually a positive. Sometimes you just have to look hard LOL
My positives this week are
1) I know my meds are working - I'm still breathing
2) I won a raffle
3) I had a great night out in the company of friends
4) When I'm down, my friends rally round
Great blog/post Bev. I'm sure it'll help everyone think more positively about things in their life
Me, greedy, Libby? Never! I didn't add that I'd got a lovely surprise pressie in the post, or that a friend's health is improving, or my neighbour cut my grass, or .... oh, I could go on, but think that's enough for this week LOL

I am going to have a think about this. Ashamed to say I am feeling negative at the moment, something I did want to be. However, something will come to mind!!
Sorry to hear you are not feeling so great today. Sending you some love, luck and positive vibes (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( ... wsh I could do more to help. I think the little things are so important as so many of us are a breath or two away from feeling really unwell. Hope lots of good things happen to you today. Alison
Yes, I know you will. It's what we do isn't it. I get very down at times too so I know it can be really hard. Even though I know I have a lot to be thankful for it is difficult to enjoy those things all the time. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are a human being with a big heart so you are bound to feel fragile at times. Good luck Alison
Yes, believe it or not, I DO have a grin on my face, thanks to your uplifting posts.
What has happened since I first posted. I did go away and thought!! I read all the other posts, then thought again.
1; I made some new friends at the coffee morning at the church.
2. I had an email from an old friend who I will be seeing.
3. My sister is now better. We wondered if it was cancer.
4. Brian is half way through his chemo.
5. Bought some home made pickle onions from the WI. Too soft.

((((((Annie)))))) you're that busy worrying about others you don't take time for yourself. No wonder you're not feeling positive. Take care sweetheart, and relax
1 Chloe is camping with little friend on singing weekend. This will give us a little break until 2 pm concert tomorrow afternoon. This is exciting as she did not manage the Brownie camp 2 weeks ago. Several children went home so she lost her confidence completely!
2. Got iPhone fixed yesterday. New screen so don't get headache and colours are back! Three were not helpful as the warranty had run out and contract runs until mid October! They wanted £81 to cancel contract and start new contract with them. That means I would have to pay for remainder of contract for phone that was unusable and I would have to have new contract with them. Paid 50 quid and left options open for October. Up theirs!
3. This week finally heard from hospital re consultant gastro appointment for large hiatus hernia and troublesome reflux in September AND gynae appointment for large ovarian cyst also in September. Hooray!
Some pleasures may seem small but they can indeed be very pleasurable! Life has many such little pleasures to offset the bleak episodes. Have a lovely weekend everyone! Alison
I'm having tummy troubles this week Dr not sure if it's a bug or something else so sending me for colonoscopy. I've been running myself ragged helping out with new granddaughter and minding the two girls while my son and DIL went to Spain for a wedding they were only gone for three days but it was very hard going. Looking after my daughter worrying my self sick about her. I was like wonder woman for the past 7 weeks.
Being sick this last few days has given me some positive things that I've enjoyed.
1 Catching up with friends on the phone
2 Having time to come on here and catch up with my cyber friends.
3Stroking my beautiful loyal dog that hasn't left my side since Wednesday.
I could go on with things like being able to read my book, can't eat so must be loosing weight, hubby is getting some attention well at least I'm saying things like thanks when he brings me tea.
Daughter sent pictures on FB of her and my grandson on holiday in Lanzarote
Got my CT scan at last been waiting since end of Jan.
Older daughter and grandson came and cleaned out my garage and the boot of my car been waiting to have it done for months.
Still breathing
Men just come to clean guttering and soffits so we will look smart again, hopefully
polly xx
mmmm
1. Did not exchange on my sale yesterday as seller could not be contacted, so it will now be Monday, looks like moving date will be 9th. That's a negative.
2. Going out for a belated birthday meal with my twin daughters and son in law tonight. That's a positive.
3. There's going to be thunder storms tonight in my area, the pub where we are going for the meal has been flood twice already. Think this may be a negative, lol
Everyone have a good weekend.
Take care
Peta

I always think of 9 as a very lucky number so maybe your first one is a positive after all Anna
• in reply to
No negatives allowed Peta! You must think of 3 positive things or I will send the boys round...
OK, this may take a while as breathing rubbish today and yest, which always makes me grumpy BUT I am sure I can come up with some positives:-
l. One big positive is that I don't have loads of money, so no begging letters please, but I do have enough to live on and not have to worry about bills and other things that crop up. I feel so bad for some of us who are struggling badly, especially in the winter, trying to keep warm and fed.
2. I have my son to help out with little things, ok we fight like cat and dog occasionally (always his fault, ha ha!) but I know he cares. I'd be lost without him.
3. I adore Lil, my cat, she's lovely and seems to know when I'm down, she just comes and sits next to me and looks at me, so we have a chat (ok, a bit one sided, I admit), and it cheers me up - mainly because I realise I'm talking to a cat who has no clue what I'm on about and that makes me laugh!
I am so jealous, I love Marrakech, one of the most exciting places I've ever been. The smells, the sights, the fabulous hotels. Fed up now! Have a great time. Libby
Oh, I wish, can't fly anymore - still I have great memories, went twice to Marrakech , once to Tangier and twice to Agadir. Just love Morocco been about 30 years now since. And Tunisa too, once you get down into the Sahara (went on a 3 day trek) it's just so interesting, that was my last hol about 6 years ago. You'll love it in Marrakech, make sure you barter to to rock bottom! Sorry, am blabbing on!
2. Enjoying my food again ( taking steroid tablets )
3. Reading new book.
Glad you met a new friend Bev and that you have found somewhere interesting to go.
My three things that made me happy this week are:
1) Spent the afternoon with grandsons mum and had a lovely chatty catch up, plus she left me the grandson for an overnight stay.
2) Went to Pitsea second hand market and bought a childsize armchair and footstool really cheap and it looks brand new. Can't wait for grandsons next visit now.
3) Number 3 son finally started dental treatment to repair the damage from when he was assaulted over a year ago. He has been terrified of going as he had his jaw fractured and metal plates fitted and struggles to keep his mouth open. I am sure some of his confidence will return when his teeth look good again.
Thanks for getting me think happy things.

You are welcome Anna love. Glad you having such a good time at moment.
1. Still breathing after the lounge was painted, not as great as it should be but not as bad either.
2. Won £8.80 on the Euromillions slottery - nearly excited about that.
3. One our goldfisssssssssh died but from nowhere we have a baby one.
4. Semi-surly son's girlfriend got assaulted by two lads last night walking from bus stop to our place but they didn't take her handbag or purse so that's good. The police arrived very rapidly and were lovely, that's also good.
1. A friend stopped with me for a few days and looked after me
2. I managed to get my hair done
3. My consultant said I wan't getting better but I wasn't getting worse
Hubby went for assessment for a blue badge which he has been told will be ready for collection in a few days. Had a small win at bingo so went out for lunch. Being told I will never take the tablets that have left me with both legs very red from top to bottom. Taking a. Histamines now. Doctor said he has never seen an allergic reaction that only applied to the legs.Very peculiar person me.
See? Everyone has things to be thankful for. Sometimes it just takes a little thought Well done all of you.
Bev xx
I do this on a daily journal - 3 things I am happy about, 3 successes and 3 things i am grateful for ..certainly moves the focus to a positive one at the end of each day :))
