What a good idea. I keep a close eye on Pete’s moles and take a photo on my phone but drawing round them is a good idea. Malignant melanoma is certainly nasty so glad yours was caught early. Xxx💜😘

My husband has a mole on his back, and every time he comes out of the shower I check it. Have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx

Handy reminder thanks.

My bro in law had a malignant melanoma on the back of his eyeball - who knew it was possible! He was very very lucky to have his eye, sight and his life saved at St Barts. He's a golfer, was on a golfing holiday in Portugal when his sight went odd. He described it as like looking through an old fashioned lava lamp. Portuguese optician told him he had to see his optician the minute he got home which he did and everything happened very quickly. Apparently when this one is found it's usually already mestastasised to the liver.

With moles it's always handy to be living with someone.

You’re so right Peege, a dear friend who I worked for over 27 years had exactly that, a melanoma on the back of the eye but it had already metastasised to his liver and he died within a very few months. So very sad.

I'm so sorry to hear that Fircone. My bro in law thinks his came about from his two+ years working in western Australia outside all the time and never owned a pair of sunglasses or sunscreen. His mum died of melanoma after ignoring the moles on her legs (over 30 years ago).

My mum is 94 and we are just going through the process of having her malignant melanoma removed from her leg. She’s had scans and no metastasis was seen thankfully.

My husband has loads. He’s had a “friendly cancer” but not malignant. I’m always checking them. X
