I hope the treatment is very effective for U Ern.hope Yr eye infections cleared+ u can have Yr injection Saturday. I absolutely love Yr beach scene+ wld love to be lying there looking out to sea.its very atmospheric+ true to life.perfect😎🥰Love the abstract too
Warm sand, and is that the sea on left hand where sand ends..or just my imagination xxx
Thank you Pat The treatment was effective second time round, but that was a surprise. I have two more and then finished. I will be monitored with Cystoscopies. My eye seems to be better touch wood, so should be good to go on saturday with injection.
Yep that's the sea Pat, you can just see it on right through the leaves. Just enough room for a bit of sky xx
I thought it was but thought it may be wishful thinking.i love the blue of the sea on the 1st but the turquoise sea on the 2nd suits the scene.I'm glad Yr eye feels better.we will be thinking of u sat+hope it goes ahead x
Thank you Pat One in a fantasy and the other an abstract, - I never thought I would be wanting to have my eye injected, I will see everything incluing painting better, x
Thank you Carole, been a long long road sinse October 2020. I11 got it wrong. as did Urgent Care doctor and Nurse - GP got me seen in July 2021. Also thinking of you and hope you are OK. xxxx
I love both your paintings, but especially the sea one. I’m not a beach sort of person, but I love to be by the sea. Hopefully your next BCG will be clear.
Your injection in your eye on Saturday - do you have macular?
Thank you Helen - I hardly ever go on a beach but I can't remember a time that on holiday I did not pick a coastal holiday. Spain, Turkey or Blackpool, I like to be near the sea,
Yes - I have Wet Macular Disease - That's why I need the injections.
I have two more BCG. I am hopeful when they check will be clear.
I have a friend I used to work with and she has dry macular, the puzzle is why was she attending same clininc as me, injections are for wet macular. I hated the injections and even dodged some at first, but now I realise my vision will deteriate faster without then. I found macular did not progress fast, I think it's 5 years or more I was diagnosed.
I’ve been wondering how you’ve been getting on today, it’s good to hear from you. It’s good news about your eye seeming to be better too, hopefully the antibiotics have done their job and you’ll be able to get the injection. The paintings are both great, at first glance my favourite one was the beach one, but enlarging the flowers painting I keep seeing more and more there, and now I can’t choose a favourite. Just as well I don’t have to!
Thank you HH - My eyes are not sticky so that's a very good - With WMV you see zigzags, not good when painting lines, the injections helps that, I like the abstract as I have freedon, with shape colour, I like the Iris best, on the other oen, The Hibiscus.
Thank you Dotty, I hope you soon feel better, My bratthing is not good at the moment,, but I will get these appointents over and sone with Take care Dottoe xx
Hi Ern, looking at the two paintings standing side by side is like looking at a tennis match, my eyes flicking left-right, left-right, backwards and forwards. I find that one complements the other and I'm accustomed now to viewing two at the same time. Personally, if I owned them I would display them side by side. The "trick" of showing them together seems to convert that space to a magical window to another more colourful world. Certainly a world of no pain. A juicy, rich garden of Eden! I really love the composition of the beach garden with the foliage overhanging from the sides. Such a cheerful, compact and peaceful scene. You undoubtedly cheer a lot of us with your colourful paintings.
Thank you Greenthorn. love the analagy - I think with two they must complment in this type anyway. I always find it difficult to decide, which picture on the left. The abstractone was not stongly so, I found a pleasure in creating that,
Your paintings are always so full of warmth. Just what we need while this miserable weather persists. Love your seas and those irises. I'm glad your treatment is going well. Long may it stay that way. best wishes for Saturday. xxx
Share your feelings Ern007, these hospital appointments are a drag. On Wednesday it took us an hour to get off hospital carpark . So it was a long day. Anyway just to say your pictures cheered me up , pink roses its the time of year now for roses it will be June tomorrow. and a trip to the beach would be fine but no chance. Physio this month then oncology + radiation starting some time in the next month . Hope all your treatments are going well , unfortunately necessary arent they ? Best wishes, bye for now
Yesterday BCG apart. was a nightmare. large hospital, car park full at the end I needed. had to find double lines on correct side., Stairs and a long walk (hate lifts) My breathing was bad, outcome was good at a price
Thank you and good luck with your appointments,, I hope your raidiation works for you, I was not allowed Best wishes and yes, they are necessary.
Hi Ern007 , why do these hospitals have such long walks from car parks. Ours is one of the largest in UK its a teaching hospital too , so may have some treatments that you would not get elsewhere. It has a reputation as the best cancer unit too. Which helps in my case. Fortunately my eyes are being done at a private clinic that does NHS ops to speed up waiting lists everything is on ground floor and they supply wheelchairs . Times are changing. Best wishes.
Our is a paint, also a teaching hospital and long, with 3 floors. . Cardiology and Day Case where i go has a small car park, the other end of the hospital has a large car park, always full, I parked like other on the double yellows.
I hope you are doing ok with your treatment Katie, I had a bad start due to MDT - Things are better now,
That done I hate lifts so I climed stairs to next level, really was out of breath then, I had to walk to the other end to have my treatment.. The staff are fine when you eventually reach them.
Been to eye unit this morning - No problem parking, there never is. When I came out the world seemed purple, that was different, I think my eye with injected drug and anti pain was reacting. .
Hi there, no strange colours in my eyes , in fact all is going well in that area. . So I have a break at present after tomorrows blood test at GPs till the 14th. so relaxing while I can . My granddaughter is running in a cancer charity marathon next saturday. So she is busy keeping fit. Fortunately for me my inhalers keep me walking even though its not normal and ver slow compared to others. We get there dont we ? Enjoy your day & do take care.
Hi Katie - What happened and never happened before. I had injection and went outseide. everything went purple. must have been the su as it was very bright.
It did Thank's pat. I sat in car till it went. I have to have BCG this Thursday and the Thursday after - then free exept for every 4 to 6 weeks for eye. I reckon I will get a months rest, heaven x
NO they don't I had lots of steps yesterday as parking was full on the sside of the hospital Ineeded, l I had to use stairs and longish walk, did not help my Asthma at all.
You have to get there really early don't you to get a parking space!
When I worked at the pharmacy you had to get there bang on 7.30am to get a space in the car park when the nightstaff finished and if you weren't there by 7.30am it was hard luck!
They are still advertising for staff there and have put a lovely lady who was there when I was as a senior pharmacy technician who was nice when she explained things to me and I was glad for her that she has been promoted and it went to someone deserving of it!
I think they have moved that horrible woman there who was manager when I was there somewhere else that had it out for me as she was costing them money with all the staff who left because they couldn't stand her attitude!
One friend at the pharmacy said how there was no call for what happened to me there all because my face didn't fit!
Yes you have to be early, yesterday I have never seen cars aimlessly going here and there lookig to park, I was lucky I found a yellow line and said to Anne, let them fine me if they wish, was noth bothered,
I have worked where my face does not fit, happened twice and I walked leaving them short handed. You are in a good job now all that matters.
Hi Ern, so pleased that all is clear at the moment😊👍, but must be a constant nightmare that it could return❤️. Hope all goes ok on Saturday too. Painting are lovely and I agree with Greenthorn, they look good together. I never have been one for sitting on the beach or sunbathing but to live with a garden and sea view like that would be amazing. Look after yourself ❤️xxx
Thank you Nula2 - After next 2 treatnents and a follow up cystoscopy, I will know if I am still in the clear, I am now getting beat treatments - I think until my eye is stable, two small one are best for me, a garden by the coast, seems good to me, and less frost xxx
