I also find ice cream helps. Surprisingly a search suggests that ice cream doesn't help. It just shows they don't know everything. Lol

I find that as ice-cream is what we call a feelgood food, it helps us to relax and that in turn helps our breathing, I prefer Cornish ice-cream myself

Hi,

I know some people like cold air to help with their breathing so maybe it's linked. I'm the opposite. Cold air give me asthma and I get wheezy after I eat ice-cream/sorbet!

I also love a daily ice cream, though it is usually accompanied by strawberries (frozen ones if out of season) and dark cherries (always the frozen ones because all (for “all” read “most”) of the stones have been removed). Oh, and cream ! And when I last needed to go to hospital for surgery they wanted me to eat something before they would release me. They offered a sandwich, but I said only eat those in tiny pieces with knife and fork (teeth problems). So the lovely nurse brought me TWO individual tubs of strawberry ice cream. Good old NHS. Absolutely wonderful ! I might suggest you go ahead and enjoy your ice cream.

I live near the sea and I must say all year round even on freezing days it’s the elderly more than the children eating ice cream, so it must do something 👍🏻👍🏻 Keep it up 👌
