Great response. 😘 Quite right, Carole, when Puss gives him one of her stares it's enough to frighten him off. Have you ever thought that the Grim Reaper might be female? 🤩🎃x
Puss has become a dedicated house cat after a life of free to roam cat. A quick check of the garden and she's knocking on the door to get back in. I just wish she would see to her toileting requirements before she did that. Would save me a bit of work.🤷♂️🎃xx
Good morning Mr.D and Puss Cat. This is my 3rd attempt now as previous 2 attempts just vanished at the end or 3/4 through. So before i loose this one, what a great picture and rhyme about the Grim Reaper🙈. I hope things are as well as can be expected and I'm curious if you're venture out in one of your modes of transport this weekend? Keep warm and safe.🐿🥜xx
Good morning SH and Bruce. We don't hear much of Bruce these days, I bet he's becoming a bit of a handful now. He's one big bouncy pup. 😁. I think it's a T'shirt and jogger day today if not the weekend. Next week I'm heading off in my little blue car to Llandanwg, near Harlech of which I have written about often, for one last visit. I have trouble getting in and out of my campervan these days, I've had people trying to buy it but it has great sentimental value which prevents sale just yet. Today is the anniversary of Midge's death. Take care. 🎃xx
OMGolly gosh Mr. D. I'm so sorry for not mentioning your very beloved, now at peace, Midge. 1 year has passed and I'm certain that her name has been mentioned here, on this forum and will forever have a special place in your heart which is cemented by all those special moments you two shared. Keep her memories in your heart and never ever be affraid if tears fall😪😪 because afterall you shared so many years together and knew each other inside out. Oh a sad day but a day that brings back 1,000's of cherished memories Mr.D. when i have my evening meal, I'll raise my glass to the dog that cannot be loved anymore than you did ......dear Midge.🥂. 🐿🥜xx
That was very kind SH but Midge was a female despite her manly ways. We both suffered in the same loss with your Hazel going shortly after. I do miss Midge greatly because she kept me to a routine and the great secret of living long without losing your marbles is routine. Without it you can go off track so easily and whilst Puss does her very best, most if not all her reminders are somewhat self-centred. I tend not to remember death dates, there are so many, but some of the more recent ones still hurt. Here's to our lost ones. 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂 hic!
P.S. Mr.D I've amended my mistakes and my post regarding Midge is now giving "her" all the credit for being your partner in all things great & small.I shall try once again to change my avatar with a better pic of Bruce and also, just for your entertainment, a couple of photos of Bruce today and Bruce say at 6 months old!! 😂😂.
I don't think Midge would have minded his or her, after all she had her 'her' bits removed at a very early age. 😉As for Bruce he is such a rare breed these days that I'm sure people would love to see as many photos of his development as you are prepared to post. 😁xx
I don't care if it's Halloween Don isn't going anywhere. Puss will see you off so so go away and don't come back just stay away. Have a great day Don and Puss stay dry and warm and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
Scary poem Don! Thank goodness Puss is with you and with Midge in your heart, you're well guarded. I looked up Llandonwg and saw a video of Holiday Park and pictures of campgrounds. The views are stunning! Safe travels!
I've been going there since the 1960's and there have been many changes. What was once a single track lane became a wide road with a large car park at the end of it. I stayed at a large house off the road quite a bit with a camping field at the back of it. When the kids were small be rented a caravan on one of the big sites. Later my wife and I stayed B & B at the house to give her a rest from cooking, then we took our caravan there for longer stays. Then when my wife died I'd take the camper and camp in the field but go to the house for my breakfast. So you see I have a long association with the place and the lovely Welsh speaking lady (who I can hardly tell if she is speaking English or Welsh her accent is so broad) is now a widow and must be nearly as old as me; I would never dare ask. She said that she doesn't do much B&B now but she will be pleased to see me. I'm taking my daughter with me as chaperon.😉
Wow Don, you must have some fantastic memories over the 60 years you have been staying in Llandanwg Wishing you a lovely day visiting and reminiscing with your daughter next week. Safe journey xxx 😊
You have a long history with Llandanwg! Wishing you and your daughter safe travels, good weather and a fine trip down memory lane! (And a tasty hot breakfast.)
