Since leaving hospital, I really struggle to get to sleep. I don't feel tired at bed time as such. I do get some sleep, but am waking several times during the night.
Only 7 days out of hospital, so still kinda affected by that, as I was woken constantly for sats and blood pressure!
I have tinitus too, since leaving hospital, a perminant ringing.

No phone or other stimuli is key to relaxing before bedtime natswright. You could try meditation perhaps and music distraction for the tinnitus. I’ve had tinnitus for around ten years caused by medication but it’s more of a hissing sound than ringing. I’ve learned to live with it but I do feel for you. Hope things improve soon. Xxx
I thing I still overthink stuff, maybe learning to meditate before bed time. I always turn the light off, and screens away. Will look into it. I have one of these minds that won't stop!
Hi natswright. For tinnitus I have an air purifier humming in the background and listen to audible to distract me from my thoughts as well as the noise. The books can't be too exciting the as they keep me awake! Also no caffeine after 3pm for me.
I can find no answer to sleep problems. Making sure no phones etc before bed, use decaf for drinks take enough exercise in the day. I have no problem going to sleep, I just cant stay asleep and once awake I am up and down for the toilet, its a nightmare. I do hope you fi d sometijng to help x
Had the same problem, + tinnitus , I found a good help in taking Valerian extract , one in the evening and one 30/60 minutes before bedtime..it works without nasty side effects.(at least for me )Kalms night one-a-night ,is the most powerful ,can be found in Sainsburys or other supermarkets.
