My best news for a long time

Good morning folks

I had my routine blood test a couple of wks ago and rang for results last Friday.

They said they were fine but Dr wanted to have telephone consultation with me.

So yesterday I received the call and he said they were more than just fine they were excellent!!

Even my inflammatory marker was only up by one point, so happy it was stable.

He made me laugh when he said best results for a long time so to carry on with whatever I’m doing.

Well yes of course, like majority of us, that would mean to virtually continue to shield indefinitely. Hey ho, as I feel so good to have received this booster, it has encouraged me to try and make the most of the fine weather, as could to be a pretty long winter ahead.

He sounded encouraged by the amount of fresh research that is taking place post Covid and future outcomes for all respiratory illnesses.

He did confirm both flu and Covid booster for the winter would be essential to keep anyone with underlying conditions such as Bronchiectasis as safe as possible.

Even if not medical, I do hope you all have some good news too during the course of the week and have a safe and enjoyable bank holiday weekend too.

Linda Xx

Great news! 😃

Wonderful news Linda, congratulations.

Yes I am of the same mind, make the most of the better weather, as its a long winter not being able or safe to get out much.

Keep well as you are and keep avoiding the big crowds.

Best wishes BK

Thank you.

Although obviously far less than pre Covid, I’m now very choosy where I go to, and have certainly avoided anywhere crowded, and just so thrilled the reduced activities and socialising has paid off.

All the best to you too.

Thank you. It certainly felt amazing and such a boost, as tbh you never know what is behind ‘Dr wants to speak to you’ from a receptionist.

Take care and stay safe Bernadette. Xx
