In my weekly shop one time months ago Morrison’s put in a packet of small sunflower seeds that I thought rather nice. Free ofcourse lol. Sadly though hardly any grew as the slugs had a field day on the shoots.

Morrison’s gave me some seeds …..snails and slugs had a field day with mine too …..so no flowers . I thought I put them in a safe place, but no luck.

We have a Sunflower field close by, in a place called Rhosilli, quite a tourist attraction and really beautiful. When I Iived in Oman where my husband worked ,we had a sunflower competion. Planted the seeds in our gardens and a prize for the tallest. They are so beautiful.have a lovely day. Sheila 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

My Sunflower was really tall had high Hope's of winning competition. Then got up one morning to find the head chopped off. We lived on a camp and the bachelors had been drinking as they missed their family. On the way back to their accommodation they chopped the heads off all the sunflowers in the gardens. We did see the funny side as they were apologetic in the morning. Never a dull moment.lol 🌻🌻🌞🌞💕 Sheila

Yes we still laugh about it. It was in 1984. When you worked abroad in those days you had to have a sense of humour believe me. I could write a book with everything that went on. Lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🌻🌻🌻
