Has anyone taken the prescription Ofev for lung disease?

I was prescribed Ofev for my lungs. I would like to know if anyone else is taking this medicine and if you noticed a difference?

I began taking Ofev in Feb 2020.. I have had only one if the common side-effects, and it has been so rare that I hesitate to mention it. The most oft mentioned gastrointestinal side-effect of diarrhea, I have had a very few times, and I cannot say actually if it was something that I had eaten, or the side-effect from the medication. The Ofev appears to be doing what it is supposed to do, which is to slow down the progression. After my last pft my pulmonologist said that my numbers have even improved. I will be watching for your post, curious how it turns out for you. Good wishes, J

I am experiencing the side effect diarrhea. I hope it ‘s not a daily thing. It’s good to know the medicine is doing what it is suppose to do for you.

I have been on Ofev for nearly a year but side effects havent been good, mainly diarrhea but also sickness. I have taken anti sickness tablets that work really well, but i need to take maximum Loperimide to help with loose stools. Anyway i have now been taken off to try Esbriet which i start tomorrow. My lung function improved with the Ofev so thats good news. Best of luck to you
