After Saturday's mass protest

.......there was another protest yesterday with thousands more, this being billed as 'Ravers Protest Against Lingering Covid Restrictions' predominately attended by youngsters, probably unvaccinated because of young ages. What will the knock on effect be to lifting the restrictions that they are protesting about? It looks like the video has been disabled/censored. I know video is on YouTube if you need to watch it.

I’ve seen the illegal raid near Shoreham/Steyning and the police trying to break that up. It’s terrible to think that all restrictions will be lifted on 19th July. Pete and I certainly won’t be going out very much and when we do we will wear masks and be social distancing. Hand washing is a given.

Take care all. Xxxx

It hardly gives much confidence to the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable. Most will have had the vaccine but that is not a 100% guarantee of protection.

We are in a worse state of infections per 1,000 now than we were last year, when restrictions were lifted. I agree, caution will still need to be observed, with no unnecessary risk taking for a some time yet. If not, then why is a third booster jab going to be issued in August for us?

According to a scientist at Imperial College London on the BBC lunchtime news, there is still some doubt as to whether an Autumn booster is necessary. They are watching the data as it continues to be gathered to see how long immunity from 2 doses of the vaccine lasts.

Trials have already started by AstraZeneca with another vaccine based on the Beta variant (South African variant) not the original strain. We will have to wait for any approval by the MHRA ( Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency)

first, but I expect that will happen very quickly as it is just an adjustment to their original process.

Thanks for that information.

I won't be going out after 19th July much more than I have been and I will still keep my distance from anywhere that is crowded and be wearing a mask, hand wash/hand gel. Have had two jabs but that doesn't mean that I couldn't still get Covid and with the Delta Variant escalating like it is, for me I feel it is too much of a risk. Best wishes to all xx

Dr John Campbell in a Deutsch Weller interview today thinks the Delta variant may be spreading in outdoor environments, is football matches.

These people are selfish, and extremely short sighted.

As I said before we had a group of ant Vaxers in Glastonbury protesting. It’s not the first time either. One of them is a prominent MPs brother. The result is the Covid level has risen from about 43 per hundred thousand to 435 per hundred thousand in Mendip. They just don’t care about other people.
