Reflexolgy: I have Bronchiectasis and I... - Lung Conditions C...
Reflexolgy
I had lots of sessions of reflexology years ago. I stopped because my therapist moved away. I enjoyed it but it did nothing for my long standing bronch. Scrupulous lung clearance and keeping active is still the best thing to be doing. You may find that the reflexology helps you to relax and control your breathing better so that you can clear more efficiently. Enjoy!
Thank you, I will give it a try and see how i get on x
Absolutely! A good proper clinical reflexologist can work wonders. Once I had a migraine & a friend who's a Clinical Reflexologist got rid of it whereas usually it would take days. Definitely worth a try. P
A reflexologist helped my nerves start working again in my right leg after damage following an operation. She also helped reduce the gouty crystals in my feet and ankles before I was able to exercise as much as I do now. These improvements related directly to the areas she massaged in each treatment, of course. I'm not so sure about the effectiveness of reflexology for conditions higher up the body.
I have had reflexology. I have asthma bronchiectasis and ulcerative colitis. I am also a fully qualified reflexologist. I have found therapists work in different ways. I do know that when my knees are bad and I have a treatment they get worse and then are ok which is what happens with reflexology. I try to do my own feet in the areas I need My stomach/ bowel is often helped as are my knees. I’m not sure if it will have the effect you want on your lungs. It will help with congestion though won’t clear the lungs. It will help you to feel better all round and is relaxing. I often sleep better after a treatment. X
Thank you for your reply, I am hoping it will help with my anxiety and you said it will clear congestion which I also suffer with, being in lockdown got to me bad like it did everyone and my anxiety went through the roof
