I was diagnosed with asoergillosis, (abpa) in November 2020 could be on Itraconazole until this autumn along with other meds how long has anyone else stayed on them and off all meds .

I'm rooting for you Bearsden. I read up on aspergillosis several years ago when my gp referred me as he thought I had it (I dont, just a mild allergy to it). Im so sorry you're going through this. It's probably awful having to be on antifungal so long but a necessary evel to get and keep it under control for the future. Hooe you have a really good consultant. Wishing you the very best. Peege
With ABPA some form of anti fungal medication may be needed for life. If you haven’t already seen it the NHS website aspergillosis.org has a lot of reliable info on aspergillosis. To date aspergillosis is not curable but it is manageable.
