Appt with lung consultant yest, thinks the lump on my lung is a tumour, going for a bronscoposy and biopsy Thursday 18th march, feeling completely numb!! Any advice..😫

As you say not the news you wanted to hear. It’s very worrying for you. My advice would be not to Google anything and hopefully someone who can offer advice will be along soon.

I was thinking about you yesterday, wondering how it was all going for you. Sorry that the news wasn't better and I do understand how you are feeling as I have been in your situation myself. I know how scary it all is. The fact that you have an appointment for the bronscoposy on Thursday, your medical team are moving with some haste. As I have a serious heart condition I had to have several other tests after my results to see if the heart could withstand an operation so was a little while before they could operate. Caught early, whilst still a concern and worrying, there is more chance of a good outcome. Remember you have us all on Health Unlocked who do understand what you are going through for support as well as any family and friends supporting you. So sorry about this news. Not what you wanted to hear. And it will feel like a huge time to wait. It is very early days, I can’t tell you not to worry as anybody would in your situation. Hi Paula sorry you are going through this, the only advice I can offer is, ask for all the help you may need and focus your attention on looking after you, staying calm and pamper yourself, distract yourself when you get overly anxious, you tube whatever is your preference, old movies, comedy, relaxing music

What i would do if i was in your situation, by the way i'm in a very poor health state too:

Stay close to your family.

Use benzos like xanax to help with the anxiety.

Adopt a dog (it is very therapeutic trust me).

Book a trip to somewhere (if and when possibile).

Read more stories here, you will feel not alone in your journey.

Feeling numb is a normal reaction of your brain caused by the shock, i know what it feels, it will fade with time. What you have is bad but is not a 100% death sentence, and you will not die tomorrow. take your time to recover, i bless you.

I do hope that you are treated with respect and that you have very kind considerate hospital team looking after you. These kinds of investigations and procedures are not nice but needful.
