Hi from the great state of Texas, USA..just wondered what the usual wait is for a transplant where you are? I'm in Houston and it's about 3 to 6 months as a rule..I'll be going in for my assessment about a month from now..Wendy
Hi wendy, over here in the UK I have been told the average wait is 18 months, unfortunately for me I don't have 18 months...... But I keep praying... Good luck with your assessment I wish you all the best, keep me updated x
Emma
Hi Emma..thank you for your response..I'll also pray for you..there are days I feel like I have such a short time left here and the next day I feel better. I've enjoyed reading the forum and don't feel nearly as alone anymore..hard to believe that I've read in 2 different articles that only 20% of smokers get COPD..really, how about that?? Guess we really were 'special' huh? take care and keep on keeping on..Wendy
