Breast bone swallon

Hi I'm new here, I've been poorly with chest pain but more like a warm burning sensation (not heartburn) been getting shortness of breathe, nausea, dizzyness, body aches, covid test neg.... Now I think my iron levels are low but waiting on the doctor... But today I've noticed my breastbone is swallon as any ever had this please as it making me panic x

I suffer from a condition called costochondritis which is an inflammation of the cartilage in the rib cage that joins your ribs to your breastbone (sternum).

Another condition Tietze's syndrome is often confused with costochondritis since both conditions involve inflammation of the costochondral joint and can cause very similar symptoms.

What you are describing sounds similar, it might be worth having a little look at both of these conditions. The NHS website provides details on both here:

Good you are speaking with your doctor, do mention all these symptoms you have mentioned here. I am sure your doctor will want to arrange any additional tests for you.

As others have suggested your symptoms could be linked to a number of conditions. It may help your doctor give a diagnosis of you keep a diary of when symptoms happen. I suffer from a couple of conditions which cause pain in my ribs chest etc. It can be very worrying but once your GP as eliminated heart problems most are painful but not serious.
