I've received a txt from NHS-No Reply (same place where all my texts from GP have come through) asking me to book for Covid jab, I have selected a booking etc, but have not received an email confirmation? You who have had it, did you get a confirmation email etc? If so, did you get it much later after the booking or next day etc?
Just want to make sure it's not a scam!
Thanks

Hi, I think mine came through by text and I had an almost immediate confirmation. I guess they’d confirm through the same means as you booking ie, if you emailed to book, you’d get an email confirmation, or if you booked via text, they’ll confirm via text. It sounds genuine if it’s the same as other texts that have come from GP. If you don’t hear by Monday is there somewhere you can ring to confirm?
Yes I thought the same, but got sent a txt message and supplied my email details for confirmation but still not received anything, also supplied my phone no, but obviously the Dr's have got it or I wouldn't have received a txt lol I'll call GP tomorrow just to check I reckon but thanks
I recieved an sms text with a link to make an appt, confirmation was by text later to confirm the appt date and no e.mails regarding the vacination where ever recieved.hope this helps to put your mind to rest, though i do believe within the original text was a telephone number for any enquiries regarding the event but i have since deleted it so can not confirm.🙃
I received an sms message confirming appointment after selecting the link on the text but no email confirmation.. Had jab two weeks ago so no issue as they had alp my details on screen when I got there.
I expect it depends on which GP commissioning group you are in. I had a text invite with a long login number and once I selected an appointment slot I got a text and email confirmation with a reference number, which was checked at the appointment before I had the jab. I also received the letter from PHE a few days after I had appointment inviting me to book a appointment at one of the major vaccine centres. Apparently this is normal you get an invite to a mass vaccine centre or local GP controlled centre and you can choose which one you want, I’m in mid Suffolk.
I had a text , booked via the text , got a confirmation text of date and time, then a reminder text a few days before appointment. No emails . Hope that helps.
Mine was the same text off my doctor offering 2 places to choose from and times to book booked it straight away at the surgery then had text day before as a reminder had astra zenica
I would check with GP surgury-if it's the same e mail address they usually use should be fine.I am wary as had scam e mail -only when I got to the page asking for bank details did I twig(but then am not very good understanding e mails etc.)
My text was from my GPsurgery with a link to book for vaccine at another surgery about twenty minutes drive away. I got an appointment for the very next afternoon with a confirmation email containing a QR code.
I didn’t need to show the QR code as I was told the machine wasn’t working and the person at the door had a list with my name on it.
My nurse from my doctors surgery was there because they had teamed up with other nurses and admin staff from the surgeries from my area to be at that surgery along with a doctor.
