I haven't any experiences of a circulation plate Joy,but if it's too aid circulation in the legs and feet i would do plenty of research as i imagine many of the gadjets for sale are more gimmicky than useful?I would only need to stand within 5 mtrs of my washing machine on a full spin which has me and a small furry creature bouncing for England on the kitchen floor and rattles dishes on the draining board dry within seconds.

🙃😻 x

I would agree with skis. When I saw Ian Botham advertising them on TV years ago I thought they must good but I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that they're a bit of a con. You can get your circulation going by tapping your feet on the floor, a slow march on the spot - and all whilst sitting if you're chair bound. P

I’m not sure if they’re worth the expense.Chair exercises are good.

Since I’ve been locked down/tiered, I try to move every hour or so.

BeforeI had.u g disease ,if the weather was bad I’d run up and downstairs 10 times.

Unfortunately I can’t do this any more due to breathless ness.

.if I’m waiting forthe kettle I do some marching or something else to keep the blood flowing. Perhapsyou need to research the plates, before you spend any money.

Hope youhavesome success

No but I know someone who has! Admittedly it was some time ago and it was the one that was being advertised by the sportsman already mentioned and it didn't impress. I don't know if they have improved the design of how it works but I should research quite a lot before investing any money in something like this. As has been suggested there are simpler and cheaper ways to carry out the same function.

Thank you all very much. I spoke to ‘heart consultant’ at hospital today, scheduled appointment and he says ‘yes’ a good idea. He’s heard good things about them but couldn’t recommend one. He also said they recommend a leg massage for relieving vein blockage/pressure etc, and this would be similar. I agree, there’s a lot of hype surrounding them and celebs advertising them. I’d need to do my homework or go and visit Ski’s and Scruff for a ‘treatment’ via his washing machine! 🤣 Joy x

Im a bit suspicious of any of the products endorsed by celebs anyway - you had Michael Parkinson advertising a cheap life policy that he probably wouldn't have even entertained or needed himself given that he's a millionaire and patronisingly promising to give away a 'parker' pen! Carol Vordemann, a mathematical genius, endorsing another life insurance even after it had been proved that she hadn't done her maths on that and it was a rip-off! Loads of them on there now just topping up their incomes!

I agree re celebs! They’ll do/say anything for money. Joy x

I just remembered Joy that you purchased the robotic vacumn cleaner amongs other handy gizzmos.you are obviously comfortable with the world of Gadjets. How about borrowing the Wrong Trousers from Nick park now that Wallace and Gromit have gone on to more exciting adventures,i am sure they can be adapted to also vibrate as you glide alongside the vacumn cleaner.

😂😹 x

Oh yes! Ski’s I love a gadget, sensible gadgets though. The robotic vacuum cleaner has turned out to be one of the best things I’ve ever bought, truly brilliant. No good if you’ve got lots of ‘floor clutter’ though. It goes under all my furniture with exception of my bed. My floors have never been so clean. Has the added bonus of being controlled by Alexa. Pity she won’t shift herself and empty it though! Don’s recommendation of the jar/bottle opener has proven to be a good buy too. Brilliant at opening the odd Prosecco! Not sure I’m too familiar with Wallace and Gromit, I’ve lead a sheltered life but do see they are enjoying working for DFS. Joy x

Not familiar with Wallace and Gromit.gosh you have led a sheltered life Joy ! lolI also have a lady called Alexa, purchased like most of my treasures on a whim.alas she still rests in her box some 18 months after the whim faded but i must activate her now she has such a glowing recommendation from a gadget connoisseur. :)

Get unpacking Ski’s. To get the most out of it you have to pay a monthly subscription! Just tell it what you want to listen to and it’ll play it. If you don’t pay I’m not sure what it does other than act as a radio. Joy XX

i may already be covered under my amazon prime subscription that i rarely use other than for faster deliveries of even more whimsical purchases lol. :) x

Oh! Brilliant, unpack it then. You can ask it ‘what it thinks of you’? My son, for some reason thinks this is hilarious! (He’s a grown man btw). I don’t have Amazon Prime I prefer the wait! Will it come, won’t it come? Will it be thrown at me or taken back to depot cos I can’t get to door quick enough? All adds to entertainment for the day. x

It does alot without the monthly subs. I use it for an alarm, timer, info, playing music as well as the radio, there are also audio books, I think a free one monthly. I have one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom and think it is great , come on Mike get it unpacked x

Joy123 profile image
Joy123 in reply to Izb1

I didn’t realise it did all that! I pay a subscription as I like to ask it to play music etc. It’s saved me keeping hundreds of CD’s. Joy x

I have Amazon music (which is free) for the cds etc that I have bought and have downloaded alot of my own, so can use Alexa to play my music as well as if i want to listen to a song that is not in my library x

I bought one two years ago as I was suffering with painful legs. I paid over £100 for it. I used it twice a day for a month and felt no difference. I asked my doctor what was his opinion about them. He said not to waste my money but to walk more. Too late I had bought one. Its in a cupboard now getting dusty. Other people on here may feel differently.

Thank you. Problem is i can’t walk far at present I’ve been waiting for a new hip since March. I’m top of the list but for obvious reasons list not moving. Also, not good for anybody at present particularly ‘the extremely vulnerable’ to go into hospital. Joy x
