Thank you Suzie.always interesting to know about new treatments for IPF as there are so few meds at the moment that arrest the progression of this condition.Best wishes Ski's and Scruff's x

Thanks ski's, I'm forever hopeful of a better med than what I'm taking with such awful side effects. Take care x

Hi Susie , thanks for sharing , very interesting and I agree an alternative to the current drug would be most welcome , although I am very thankful that I am able to tolerate this one, and just wish I could have been given it sooner.

Take care and keep well. X

I'm not getting on too well with it, I keep having to have breaks from it to settle my tummy, but i am very grateful to have it, just dont want the side effects . Take care and looking forward to vaccine x

Ahh I know what you mean , I know it sounds silly but if you can stay upright and not bend over for 2 hours after taking it , that helps. Also , I take an anti sickness tablet at the same time and find that helpful.

You would have to get advice on that as we are all different and I have no medical knowledge.

Yes !!!! Looking forward to the Vaccine, so close now !!!

Take care. X

Thanks for that advise, will have to give it a go. I take anti sickness when I've had egg for breakfast otherwise dont often take that. I'm on 4 loperamide daily. Its breakfast I find the hardest. Take care xx

Breakfast is not too bad for me now that I have increased my food intake to accommodate the drug .

Good luck and hopefully things will improve for you, x

Sorry but i felt the need to report your advice to the moderators of this site.i don't believe it is in the interest of any members for you to advertise the products and services of a certain Dr Rath in South Africa, who i believe runs this organisation for his snake oil approach to the treatment of people with life threatening conditions.Certain herbs and supplements may be beneficial for sufferers with lung conditions but they are in no way a recognised cure for them.

Enough said.

Skis, I’ve reported the profile as a spam account for sales and marketing purposes in breach of guidelines. The profile is word for word the same as all 6 of the replies posted by the account in the last 5 hours, the only variation on any of them is the amount of contact details provided for the ‘company’. Most of them go on to say that they ‘guarantee’ to cure all of these diseases. Fricking charlatan wastes of space.

I know your source. Your "company" is a fraud promising 99% results for diseases like emphysema. You are mistaken if you take us for fools. Oh and this picture is straight off of Facebook. Just a slight adjustment in the name. Good grief.

I'm at a loss reading what has come before. I only posted about a potential new treatment being trialled. That was a couple of months ago. Does this sort of thing happen often. I dont think I will be posting anything if it does

No Suzie. Your post is not in question. It is the person I responded to that is selling "cures" for incurable diseases. Please keep posting your links from credible sources. It makes sense that these spammers target health related sites as there are many sick and vulnerable people here. Don't let it bother you at all. xx 😀😃😄😁

Thank you, it's a bit worrying when people just tag on xx

Caspiana in reply toSuzie42

Yes, it is. But don't let it unnerve you. There will always be these kinds about. 🌼🌺🌸🌷

in reply toSuzie42

As caspiana says, there will always be people like this. Thankfully, we really don’t get many at all here, so please don’t let it put you off - IPF isn’t my neck of the condition woods, but I read around all respiratory issues and treatment developments generally, and your link was an excellent contribution. Skis has reported the replies, and I’ve actually reported the profile: with any luck, it’ll be removed before you know and we can all just carry on like they never existed.
