General awareness of Long Covid, and its seriousness, is too low in Westminster, they argue
MPs are urging the Prime Minister to address the health, wellbeing and employment arrangements for those living with Long Covid.
Writing in The BMJ today, Layla Moran MP, and chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) group on coronavirus, says she wrote to the Prime Minister on 24 August after receiving first-hand accounts from hundreds of people living with the condition.
In it she urged the government to formally recognise Long Covid, commit resource to a rapid, comprehensive study of the condition, and provide the necessary support.
This may actually assist some, who have for years dealt with GP's who said ME or Post Viral Fatigue does not exist. A lot of the people I have read about, seem to end up with a form of Post Viral Fatigue as part of the Long Covid, and do not seem to react well to the "get up and exercise through the problem" approach, and if it gets acknowledged, there may be some proper research into how best to treat them,

It seems that it should be made a lot more obvious to deter those who say its just the flu and why bother to obey restrictions , not only the young people
