I lost my headphones to wear and tear a few weeks back ...and received my new super woofer purple ones yesterday ..

I have just had 49 mins of utter joy listening to tubular bells with Mike Oldfield whilst hoovering and housework...

What music tastes does everyone have ...I'm pretty eclectic Simon and Garfunkel , Bread ,Fleetwood mac ...

So list your tastes below bit different from a picture post πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Perfect taste Bernadette todays music is completely different from my taste some okay but the majority I agree isn't πŸ’œπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Tubular Bells was an album of my youth, I actually saw them live in Southampton late 60s or was it early 70s. The album carried me right through into my 30s but not played it since.

Saw Shanana in Southampton also :)

I saw Fleetwood mac in Salisbury live would you believe, back in the days when Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich play live at our Saturday night dances.

Saw David Bowie at his Ziggy Stardust concert in Salisbury too, gosh this is bringing back memories. Led Zeplin in Salisbury.

In the days when going to live bands dances on regular basis was the norm, before discos and nightclubs were so predominant.

So much great music in days gone by.

It's lovely to revisit those days with others on here who also remember and enjoyed those times gone by.

I was born at the end of the war and enjoyed music from the 40s, 50s and 60 s. I grew up with rock n roll and loved the 60 s, A song on the radio instantly transports you back in time. I love all the songs from musical theatre, and a touch of Classic FM goes down well too.

Cheers. Xxx

Oh my goodness what memories the first record I bought was bridge over troubled waters in my local wollies.

Saw David Bowie in the late 70,s as well as Led Zepplin, Queen amongst others. Then to be different I love opera and bits of classical music

I am a bit naughty tho, some of my neighbours play what I call boom boom music, very irritating, so rig my speakers up to play Carmen or Verdi’s Requiem loudly out of the window😁

Funnily, I was thinking of getting earphones too. What does "Woofer" mean please? But purple sounds lovely. Are they the cordless ones? I quite fancy some cordless earphones. xx πŸ™‹

Blackbird8 profile image
Blackbird8β€’ in reply toCaspiana

Woofer meaning is a speaker that's designed to reproduce low frequencies in music.. .so it's like a fine tune and you hear every note rather than music such as low base being in the background ...you will hear it much better ...theres woofer and sub woofer...I may not have explained it correctly but you can google that may help more πŸ˜‚

Yes mine are cordless so I can move around the house hoovering πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

I’ve got quite a wide taste in music. Motown - saw Stevie wonder in concert when I was 17 Mike oldfield (still have tubular bells but on cd now) ,Rick wakeman, elbow ( find guy hypnotising) ,pink, moody blues, bread , Queen , Elton john and Bon jovi to name a few. Of course David Bowie too. X Anita

Your headphones sound fab.

Blackbird8 profile image
Blackbird8β€’ in reply towatergazer

Excellent taste in music Anita ..I think most people are pretty eclectic in taste as variety is the spice if life the headphones are brilliant expensive but worth the comfort and sound they deliver πŸ’œ

I love all the 60/70's music, I grew up with it. I can still remember our neighbours son singing to the Beech Boys, all the Mowtown music, moved along with Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, wow there was so much going on in the music world its hard to say what you liked, pretty much most things. I know the radio was never off in our house. I was the youngest of four so was influenced by older sisters as well x
