That's just lovley Bkin thankyou 💜
That's amazing. I read about this comet, I think it gets the closest on the 23rd. I haven't seen it here as the sun doesn't set so it's blue sky all night. It's forecast to be torrential rain all week after I get back so I wont see the comet there either 🌠 Thank you for sharing the photo ✨
youre still there !
do you enjoy the summer light? I didn't know the sun went round the sky instead of up and down . That never occurred to me. I wason a ship in Svalbard. Spitzbergen at the scientists village Ny Alesund when I found that out.
It was 10.30 pm and the some of the of scientists went down to the beach to swim. there was a glacier down to the water of the fjord and an iceberg just a few hundred yards away. Bracing.! Rather them than me.
hope you get home soon, do your sheep et shorn every summer ? I know how they feel waiting to be clipped . very shaggy .
PS just got back on line again as the computer keyboard went off and wouldn'tdo anything. so out of touch with everything.
Welcome back online 💻I was there until yesterday but am now on my epic journey back. Where I live it doesn't get dark in the summer although the sun does set, but I was unprepared for how different it would be to have blue sky and sunshine all night. Also it rains all the time or at best is very grey and dull where I live. So being very bright all night with birds singing was quite different at first. But I really don't like the dark, I have lots of lights at home, so I did like it being light all night.
My sheep do get shorn every summer. The farmer who shears them is very caring (the first time I ever had them shorn was by someone I vowed never again. It was awful!) It's important for sheep to be shorn for their well-being. 🐑
How amazing to see that Blackbird. Losing a bit of beauty sleep was well worth it. Xxx😀🙏🏻🌻
Amazing. Well done you for staying up to catch the comet.
Its about time you published your photos. Im sure they'd go down well with visitors to the area. Or have them blown up and sell in a gallery - I would!
Great photo of the comet- x I can never pick things out in the night sky
Thanks for the pic. Have not had a clear sky here for ages , you have been so lucky . But will check it out again at dusk tonight .......fingers crossed.😊
Jo.....😀
Hope you see it Jo stay safe and sound 💜💜
Maybe not tonight after all. Out in the garden late morning ,decided to add extra to the small compost heap....I moved the top cover and out came a swarm of wasps. Got about 15 stings on my lower arms and two on my collar bone. Was in a bit of a mess , plan a call to Gp. tomorrow only because of where the nest is situated. Think I
should seek a anti tet jab. These stings have been rather painful perhaps because of there so many.
Jo. 😊
Great photo BB, you are so lucky living where you do, the light pollution here is terrible and can hardly see anything in the night sky, thanks for sharing x
Great picture, thank you for sharing 🐞
Amazing!!! Beautiful photo
It's great Blackbird! A friend of mine was looking every evening for such a pic! Well done, it's beautiful!
Love Bev 👍🏽😊🎈
What an incredible photo!! Thankyou so much for sharing it with us, and even more so for staying up to take it! I think I'm not alone in being totally ignorant of this comet, and your photo has shown it to us in this fantastic shot? But please tell me what I'm doing wrong - it won't allow me to click on it?
