I have been greatly enjoying the Just William stories , as recommended by Hanne62. This one entitled ' The May Dance ' made me laugh out loud. William was frankly bored. School always bored him. He disliked facts, and he disliked being tied down to detail and he disliked answering questions. As a politician a great future would have lain before him........that was written in the 1920's and clearly nothing much has changed !

Love those stories. Martin Jarvis brings out his naughtiness. I listen to them every time around.🤣
Sounds like my grandson. I love Just William too. Xxx😘🥰
I quite often laugh out loud at the Just William stories, they’re just so funny, and they’ve certainly stood the test of time. I regularly re-read them, along with Jeeves & Wooster. Glad you’re enjoying your reading. I decided to improve my general knowledge during lockdown, but what the heck, I’m sticking with books I really enjoy
