In my garden still have clematis and fuchsias flowering, never had them as late as this. Lovely to see them, hope everyone can see something like this.

Although you are right and ts the worrying result of climate change, it has its advantages. Being able to en joy seeing plants that should by now have finished flowering is a delight and very uplifting. These simple pleasures can lift our spirits.

Warm Novembers and Decembers are nothing new. I personally do not believe it's because of climate change. It's sad to see some people getting worried about a warm day at an odd time of the year because this has always happened. I remember stories that my grand parents told me of unseasonably warm winters, and cold summers. We need do our part to take care of the earth, but let's keep our heads on and not give in to the craziness. Trust me, we will have cold springs and falls again. Let's just enjoy this unseasonable warm time.

Interesting post Morrison10 - I live in the NW England and I have (Hardy) varieties still blooming,

Fuchsias do better some years than others, they have been a large part of my working life - I had a mail order business selling these plants and before I retired, I worked at a garden centre where thousands where grown..

Point being a hardy variety F Mrs POPPLE had a few flowers on 31st DECEMBER - I had hoped it would bloom into the NEW YEAR. Not to be a hard frost got the plant that night --This btw was 26 years ago.

I’m in high part of West Midlands, mine are mostly hardy, but have Satellite flowering in sheltered place by house. I like experimenting, it’s. Suppose to be trailing, but I grew several quite high.

I'm enjoying Fuchsia (Princess Dollar) and winter jasmine at the moment. You're right; it is uplifting. xxx

My fuchsias are still flowering and have done at this time of year for many years. It's lovely to still be enjoying them so late in the year.

Your lucky that usually have them flowering so late. I’m in high part of West Midlands usually get frosts before now, all flowers fall off, particularly white turn brown. I’m enjoying them now and reds and pink white. x

Yes, I am fortunate. We live in NE Lancashire close to the pennines. The fuchsias are usually the last of the flowers.

Same in mine Morrison , I have fuchsia, roses , begonias all still in flower . I cut back a honeysuckle some weeks ago and yesterday noticed it’s covered in new leaves . Nice though it is it is should we be worried ? 😟

Hi, difficult there’s nothing we can do individually, I wouldn’t start blocking roads as think that just adds to problem, so suppose enjoy flowers whilst have them. Jean x
