Has anyone seen the film ( contagion ) out in 2011 I think the whole movie script is based on a world pandemic, starting in China fish market everything about it, is covid19!!!! It’s as if they knew this virus was going to happen 11 years on, if you get the chance to see it you’ll realise what is happening. Good hunting all stay safe 👍

It was screened here on tv early in the pandemic. Needless to say I gave it a miss. I didn’t want to know how it ends.🤔

Perhaps it's less prophetic than you might think. The unhygienic wet markets in China have long been thought of as being a breeding ground for disease. Coupled with the love of eating exotic animals which the wealthier Chinese do, then it was always a recipe for disaster.

They were closed down a few years ago I think coz of Sars, they were then quietly reopened after a few months. Let's hope they will be closed for good now along with other dangerous practices in China and the world.

I'd like to think so too, but I can't say that I am very hopeful. I think that some are already open again from news reports I have seen.

I want to watch it! Contagion right? Those wet markets are disgusting with live animals simply horrific!!! I did read somewhere though about rare bats in a science lab in Wuhan so all very awful.

I have watched it a few times on disc, really good film. The ending explains the begining of the film, on day zero of the pandemic....
