Hey, hope you're well! I was just wondering if anyone knew whether the vapour from vaping is bad for someone with alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency (AATD)? Can the chemicals produced by vaping trigger emphysema?
Thanks

Short answer would be, not a good idea, vapers could trigger an exacerbation of symptoms.
But see what the Alpha 1 forum folk have to say on the subject : alpha1.org.uk/
Thanks – will do!
Not good the vaping inwant as bad I gave up smoking 8yr ago went on it and went down to no nigatinine one But makes me worse when I stoped it I'm out breath due to the lungs but the vape made me worse And any test done at hospital over chest lungs it is detected in urine I suppose if u use shop ones dont know.wats in if totaly wicked may be differnt but made my lungs worse so gave it up 3 years now
I wouldn't think that being around vapers is OK for anyone whatever the sate of their lungs.🤷♂️
Agree with you there Don1931.
I find both cigarette smoke and vaping fumes upset my gorgeous but temperamental lungs
I agree Don. Cigarettes are now known to be full of noxious poisons, but how many years was it before that became known. Most vapes are oil based. Doesn’t sound healthy to me!
Errr.....no. Just no. 🚩
I have vaping induced copd. So the short answer for me is yes
