Since the lock down started i haven't had one call telling me my p c has a virus ,or my washing machine guarantee has expired, i used to get at least half a dozen a week ,sometimes half a dozen in a day. if i was in the mood i would string them along , they would get very upset when they realized it.

SCAM PHONE CALLS
I was thinking the same thing usually something about my Solar panels, which l haven't got, internet connection faulty, loft insulation. I haven't had one since lockdown started. No doubt they will make up for it after!
Maybe they’re all isolating whit. Although I believe some are working from home as we’ve had a few calls since lockdown but not many. Xxxx
I have had some from Amazon, telling me something about my account which I don't have , but nothing like the normal pestering .!
I've not had 1 since lockdown, I love those calls though, pretending to be deaf or actually ( which get them salivating) give them fake sort code and acc number, they will phone back querying numbers , lol assure them its right but change one number and so on and so on, it sends them nuts, I did have one indian friend called" Kenneth" who told me I was senile and an idiot , tut tut. 😄
Yes I had one called John. Said let me tell you that you are the first person this morning who has been so lovely to me and polite. It was only 2 minutes past 9am in the morning. Think he thought be polite and she may answer all his questions. I quietly put phone down. Not heard from him since look after yourselves everyone
Love this, we are on the same wavelength.
Used to I enjoy the computer scam ramble when i put the handset down and only when there is a pause in the relentless gabble, , i say ‘ 1 am a bit deaf could you repeat that, they say it all again.....
and then i say. ‘ why didn’ you say so, i do not have a computer ‘ and hang up.
Now i use Call Guardian and have no scam calls
sopsx
I answer in Spanish. They never call Back. xxx
I haven't had one either, they certainly will make up for it. Have a good day and take care of yourself 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈
Had my first one last week, mine are usually the silent sort.
A long time ago I paid extra money not to have my phone number in the phone book. It was worth every penny. My house is also not viewable on Google street view, I told Google to remove it. Which is within my rights. I have had one scam sms since this all started purporting to be the post office with a package they couldn't deliver because I was "wasn't home" which is nonsense since I am almost always home. And our post office always leaves a note. I really hate scammers.xx 😡😠
I had a call from a lovely (I would imagine) and caring young lady really concerned about a car accident I've had recently.
After conducting a review of my accident she decided after ten minutes that there was nothing she could do to help me since the imagined accident in 1978 was too long ago.
Grinding teeth she hung up.
😂
You should hear my hysterics when they tell me I have been in an accident! Seriously though, I haven't had any calls either (and just when I could do with someone to talk to!
Ive been hacked twice. Had to change my visa card. I get calls and comply till they ask for card details then i say its not it to hand. They even hang on ir phobe back. I put the number in contacts so dont reply. Theres one thats on mrssenger nger where they say you can get funds from x charity. They use someone elses facebook page. They used my sisters but couldnt answer a famuly question. Last week they used a charity thar according to goigle had no branches in UK where u am. Years ago a group used details from a church. Everything was right, website address, phone number, except name of church. They kept phoning my friends mum with dementia. Check out everything. Google the details they give you. Dont give bank details.
Yes the reason we’re not getting phone calls is that they’re all busy doing online scams. I discovered that it’s better to just delete emails than to block them. Since a blocked a few I’ve been inundated with more. They just change their email address. Please be careful. I read in yesterday’s Sunday Times that there’s a company actually selling peoples passwords. That’s why it isn’t good to use the same one for several accounts.
Stay safe at home and online

I'm also not getting the phone calls now, the Amazon one previously came almost every day - but there's been a lot more emails offering to share several million dollars with me if they can use my bank details - I deleted eight of the latter this morning, which had come in over the weekend.
Hardly any phone calls except one---from "Bank of America" saying I was the second place winner in the Senior Publishers Clearing House Giveaway. I did out of curiosity select "1" but never did get further.
What I have been getting and almost fell for are seemingly valid emails from Paypal claiming unauthorized activity and that I needed to update all info. Once I looked at the complete email address and a misspelling I stopped and forwarded it to the real paypal(spoof@paypal.com) --of course I received back a stupid message about protesting unauthorized charges.
Then I had another bogus email from "paypal" and today my first from "nerflix……" . I'm under attack.!!!
